From Morrinsville Hotel to Top Pub
1940s
Where It Started
Top Pub and Eatery is not just a pub. It has been part of Morrinsville's story since the 1940s, when it was known as the Morrinsville Hotel.
Local Legend
A Local Legend
Back then, it quickly became the local go-to for cold beers, good yarns, and a few stories that are better left untold. Sitting proudly at the top end of town, locals started calling it 'Top Pub', and like most good nicknames, it stuck.
2004
The Big Move
In 2004, the original building packed up and headed off to Raglan, not something you see every day. While the building moved, the legend did not. The site stayed, the locals stayed, and the good times definitely stayed.
2019 - 2020
A Fresh Chapter
In 2019, the current owners took over with a mission: bring the Top Pub back bigger, better, and louder than ever. After a full renovation in 2020, the doors reopened as Top Pub and Eatery with a fresh new look, without losing what made it great in the first place.
Today
Top Pub Today
These days, it is all about good food, cold drinks, big screens, and even bigger nights. Whether you are here for a quiet pint or a full send with your mates, you are stepping into a place that has delivered good times for generations.
